Leave It As It Is
The first take kept the smile.
Two chairs, a guitar and tea. The first take they return to after all the others.

What this story is about
Two people try a song in the kitchen: a guitar, scraps of notes, tea. A phone records the lines and the laughter between them. After several attempts, they choose the first take again: it holds the pleasure of making something together.
A kettle, a squeaky door and a quick “let’s do it” become details of the evening. They bring the moment back to the person nearby, listening and joining in the singing.
“Leave it” is a warm response from the person beside you. They recognise a good moment and suggest playing it from the beginning. This is a take you want to return to together.
Keep getting to know the song.

Pass on the joy of a first take
Listen to a friend’s new song to the end, join the singing at a familiar line or simply tell them which moment you liked. The first take will have found its listener.
